THE 1860 Indentured Labourers Foundation Verulam held an outreach programme at Everest Heights Primary School in Verulam recently.

The foundation donated apples to all the pupils at the school. A certificate of appreciation was handed to principal K. Sarju by the president of the foundation, Jaisingh Singh.

The month of November , marks the 158th year since the arrivals of indentured labourers to KwaZulu-Natal. — Supplied.
