FORMER residents of Inyaninga Sugar Estate barracks commemorated the arrival of the indentured labourers at Inyaninga Memorial Garden on 7 November.

Every year in November the senior citizens meet at this iconic site to commemorate the arrival of the indentured labourers and pray for their loved ones buried in the graves in Inyaninga.

This year’s reunion was graced by the presence of one of the senior citizens Rookmoney Govender (95).
