THE Tongaat Tamil Academy was placed first in the kolattam (stick dance) category at the National Children’s Tamil Eisteddfod, held at the Arena Park Regional Hall in Chatsworth on July 14 and July 15. Children belonging to various Tamil organisations throughout the country participated is this annual event.

Having won the kolattam category for the second consecutive year, the talented students of the Tamil Academy have once again done Tongaat proud. The National Children’s Eisteddfod is hosted by the South African Tamil Federation.
