THE Tongaat soccer team, Uthongathi Football Club, continued its winning streak when it defeated Gamalakhe United 2-1 at Moses Mabida Stadium over the weekend.

The team plays in the KZN ABC Motsepe league and is standing on top with 30 points that it secured from 13 previous games played since the inception of the 2016/2017 league.

Spokesperson for the team Ndumiso Maphumulo told the Weekly: “We would like to thank our supporters for their consistent support and encourage them to support us in our next games."

The Tongaat team will lock horns with uThukela FC United at Shaik Mohideen Stadium in Tongaat on Saturday, 28 January. The match starts at 3pm.
