Man stabbed in Tongaat

A 25-year-old man was stabbed on his head and chest with a bottle at the Magwaveni Sports Ground In Tongaat last week.

According to the victim he was with his girlfriend when he was approached by the attacker who had a broken bottle in his hand and started to stab him on his head and chest.

Tongaat SAPS communications officer warrant officer Manisha Maharaj-Marie said a case of assault GBH is being investigated by police.

Woman assaulted

A 32-year-old woman was assaulted with a metal pipe in Tongaat last week.

According to the victim she was outside her home when she saw a man approaching with a metal pipe and screamed to warn her husband, but the man struck her head with the pipe.

Robbery in Watsonia

A home in Watsonia was robbed last week of valuables after the homeowners had left for the night.

According to the homeowner’s daughter, her parents had locked their home and left and the next day she received a call that the house had been broken into and upon arrival at the home she found jewellery, cash and televisions were stolen.

Tongaat SAPS communications officer warrant officer Manisha Maharaj-Marie said house break-in is being investigated by police.

Car stolen

A car was stolen at Emona Fire Tower at the weekend after the owner parked his vehicle at a friends house and went to another friends house.

According to the owner when they returned he found his car had been stolen. The car is a white Mazda with registration plate ND330487.

Tongaat SAPS communications officer warrant officer Manisha Maharaj-Marie confirmed that a case of theft of motor vehicle is being investigated by police.
