DR Sayed qualified as a specialist gynaecologist 10 years ago from the University of the Witwatersrand.

He has been in private practice for over eight years being based mainly at Alberlito Hospital. In addition, for the past two years he has had permanent consultation rooms in Stanger. He performs surgical procedures at most hospitals on the North Coast.

After many years as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, he moved away from managing pregnant patients to focus mainly on gynaecology.

He has a special interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.

He specialises in: laparoscopic hysterectomies, laparoscopic myomectomies (removal of fibroid growths from uterus) and the laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis.

His other interests include managing problems related to urinary incontinence (leaking urine), vaginal prolapse of uterus/bladder/bowel, pelvic pain, menopausal and menstrual problems.
