AN Over 35 League was finally launched on Monday, 10 July at the Verulam Recreation Ground.
Safa Verulam and Tongaat combined to form the Safa Coastal North Over 35 League and a great football atmosphere was witnessed on July 14 and 15 during the first games.

The night series tournament kicked off at Verulam Recreation Grounds. Two groups of 10 teams locked horns on round robin format.
Safa Verulam Football Association said in a statement: “Supporters will get another opportunity to watch proceedings of more action on July 21 and 22.

“Uthongathi Football Club will be in action against Seatides Football Club at 7.15pm and later play against Super Legends at 8.30pm, following second group on Saturday, July 22.

“Maidstone takes on Verulam suburbs football club at 7pm.
“Railways Football Club will hope to get their first win of the tournament against Moutview Football Club at 8pm.
“These fixtures will qualify four teams to play in the semi-finals next weekend.” - Supplied.
