THE Tongaat Panthers Athletics Club recently hit the R102 route and did a training run for future races.

Panthers took part in the DG Panel and Paint Challenge in Sydenham and Durban.

The tough and hilly course didn’t deter them, with several boasting excellent times in the 16 km, while others conquered the two-lap 32 km challenge.

New member Sugan Nair enjoyed his first official race with the club when he completed the 16 km and walker Viresh Rampurtab manoeuvred his way to the finish line.

Rakesh Harikasun and his family did the Cancer Run in Durban.

Harikasum is registered with Cansa and does all his runs to raise funds for cancer patients.
