THE patrons of the Tongaat child and Family Welfare Society, Balan Subramunier and staff Mariam Mkhize and Zanele Khumalo visited Mitchford Primary recently.

Subramunier thanked the principal, co-ordinating teacher, teachers and pupils who contributed towards the fund which involves children helping other children.

He encouraged pupils to continue to give and explained that the fund was initiated after research showed the link between hunger reduction, improved nutrition and children’s learning.

Currently 2424 pupils are beneficiaries of the fund. Certificates for contribution were presented to the co-ordinating teacher. Shaun Sivalingam thanked Tongaat Child Welfare for their continued support. - Supplied.
