Pedestrian killed in Verulam

A PEDESTRIAN has been killed and five injured after two vehicles collided on the old Inanda Road in Verulam on Sunday 19 June.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlende Mathe paramedics worked alongside various emergency services on scene to stabilise the injured.

“The pedestrian was declared dead on scene due to the extensive injuries he sustained. All the injured sustained minor injuries and were transported to various hospitals,” said Mathe.

The exact detail to the cause of the accident is being investigated by police.
