Theft of Motor Vehicle:

On Monday 22 February, Reaction Unit South Africa received a call from a resident in Buffelsdale, Tongaat, reporting his 2001 model Toyota Hilux bakkie had been stolen.

The bakkie with registration NJ7860, was fitted with a canopy and had a Gasflow sticker on the tailgate.

Motor Vehicle Collision

One person was injured following a collision on the M4 near La Mercy on the 21 February. The driver of a BMW SUV veered down an embankment. He sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical treatment. Details surrounding the collision are unclear at this stage.

Theft of Motor Vehicle

On the 20 February Reaction Unit South Africa received a call from a resident of Park Lane in Ottawa reporting his vehicle stolen. The vehicle was a green Toyota Conquest with registration NJ 13745. An identifying feature on the car was a smash on the driver’s side door. The suspects were seen being dropped off by the driver of a white Renault which registration is unknown.

Pedestrian Knocked Down

A pedestrian sustained moderate injuries after being knocked down by the driver of an Isuzu bakkie.

The incident occurred on 19 February 2016 occurred on Moss Street in the Verulam CBD.

RUSA medics treated the 44-year-old man on scene before transporting him to a local hospital.
