House break-in: Verulam –

Reaction Unit SA (Rusa) officers were dispatched to Olivine Road in Everest Heights on Monday 11 April at approximately 10am after receiving reports of a house break-in.

Upon arrival officers found that forced entry was gained into the home via a bedroom window. A plasma TV was stolen.

According to a neighbour they noticed a man leaving the property carrying something in a bin bag and walking towards a squatter settlement in the area.

Officers patrolled the area in search of the suspect however no arrests were made.

Hijacking: Verulam –

The public is requested to be on the lookout for a white, 1993 model Toyota Corolla with registration NJ 66957.

The vehicle was hijacked from Marula Circle in Trenance Park by two knife wielding suspects at approximately 5am on 12 April.

The victim was taken with the vehicle and dropped off unharmed in Inanda. If anyone has information that could lead to the recovery of the vehicle, contact Reaction Unit South Africa on 086 1234 333.

House break-in: Verulam –

On 12 April at approximately 9pm Rusa officers received a call from a resident on Olivine Road in Everest Heights requesting assistance after he had arrived home and found that his house was broken into.

Officers were dispatched to the home and upon arrival found that forced entry was gained through a window.

The house was ransacked and it was found that a laptop, two watches, a Samsung S4 cellphone and a handbag was stolen.

Hit and run: Verulam –

On 14 April at approximately 7pm members of Rusa were dispatched to Todd Street in Verulam after receiving several calls from motorists requesting assistance for a pedestrian who had been knocked down.

Upon arrival, Rusa paramedics treated the pedestrian for a broken leg before transporting him to hospital.

The vehicle that knocked down the pedestrian had fled the scene.
