Common robbery: Verulam –

On Monday 25 April at approximately 3pm Reaction Unit South Africa was contacted by a member of public requesting assistance after her gold neck chain had been stolen.

According to the caller she was seated in her vehicle at the Ottawa traffic lights when an unknown man grabbed her chain and fled the scene.

Officers were dispatched to the area and searched for the suspects, however no arrests were made.

House break-in: Verulam –

Members of Reaction Unit SA responded to house-break-in call on Tuesday 26 April at approximately 4am. Officers were dispatched to a home in Hazelmere, Verulam.

Upon arrival they found that forced entry was gained via the kitchen window.

According to witnesses two suspects were seen fleeing from the home after they had stolen two cellphones.

Pedestrian knocked down: Ottawa –

A pedestrian was hit by a car on Saturday 30 April.

Reaction Unit paramedics responded to the call and upon arrival they found that the pedestrian sustained a broken leg and an injury to his head.

He was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital. The vehicle that was involved in the collision fled the scene.

Stabbing: Verulam –

On Saturday 30 April at approximately 7.15pm members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the R102 after receiving reports of a stabbing and robbery.

Upon arrival officers found that a man had been stabbed twice on his back after he had been robbed by two suspects for a packet containing rice and chicken.

The victim was transported privately to hospital. Reaction officers patrolled the area in search of the suspects however no arrests were made.
