AS part of their social responsibility, the members of the Tongaat Association of Retired Educators (Tare) donated 312kg of rice and five litres of oil to the Shree Veeraboga Emperumal Temple (SVE).

Tare chose the temple as the recipient because of its humanitarian programme of feeding the poor and pupils twice a week.

The management of SVE Temple must be commended for their commitment and dedication in trying to alleviate poverty. Instead of cleaning up the town as part of their 67 minutes of community service, Tare joined forces with the temple to do something tangible and live up to their motto - “fulfillment through service”. - Supplied.
