THE Rotaract Club of Verulam hosted an Easter party for 50 underprivileged children at Trenance Park low-cost homes on March 24.

The children had a chance to enjoy and feel the festivities of Easter.

Club president Taruna Ragubir said: “We provided the children with snacks, party packs, treats and lunch. The children were excited to receive their KFC meals. It was a fun-filled day as we had entertainment and games for them. We also educated them about the significance of Easter and why we celebrate Easter. To see these children’s faces light up with every activity on the day was the most heart-warming.”

Ragubir said the club believes that it is important to lend a helping hand to the less-fortunate.

“We started sharing gifts with people who really needed them.

“The Rotaract Club would like to thank all its sponsors for this event. Your sponsorship has allowed us to help 50 underprivileged children feel and experience the joy of Easter.

“Your generosity has extended our hands in reaching the community and we could not have made this project a success without your assistance,” Ragubir said.
