SAPS Tongaat, in conjunction with the Valley Trust, Woza Asibonisane (HIV Prevention Programme) and Life Line, held a youth meeting to discuss the issue of gender-based violence and other issues, recently.

SAPS Tongaat spokesperson Captain Patrick Ngwane said: “Various speakers addressed the gathering on a variety of issues pertaining to HIV and Aids, stressing the importance of awareness, prevention and lifestyle choices for those infected and affected by HIV and Aids.

“The audience was then able to participate in a dialogue and they were engaged in a question-and-answer session. The response from the audience was overwhelming.”
