THE seventh annual Durban Beach Sari Stroll takes place on 31 July at the Durban Beachfront Amphitheatre at 1pm.

The Durban Beach Sari Stroll has been the brainchild of Kammy Gounden and Natalie Lange, avid collectors of the colorful and graceful sari.

Durban is the only city in the world that has run an event of this nature annually in order to showcase the grace and glamour of the timeless sari.

The event is popular among women of all cultures as one does not have to own a sari to attend the event.

Ladies are welcome to select a free sari of their choice from our collection of saris, which are made available at our sari tent at the Suncoast Amphitheatre, from where the stroll will start.

Ladies will also be helped to drape their sari and enjoy a stroll against a backdrop of the Indian Ocean.

The event culminates at the Amphitheatre where another two marquees are set up to provide high tea and treats as well as entertainment for the fun filled afternoon.

This includes songs and dance from different ethnic backgrounds and informative talks by inspirational leaders of the community.

There will also be goodie bags for all participants and prizes to be won.
