TWO men suspected to be part of a gang stoning passing vehicles on the R102 between Verulam and King Shaka International Airport were arrested on Sunday, 5 March.
The two suspects aged between 20 and 25 were arrested during police operation near King Shaka International Airport and were charged with malicious damage to property.
According Verulam SAPS, two cars were stoned on Sunday evening. Verulam SAPS spokesperson Captain Mark Prakasim said: “Two cases were opened at the police station. The suspects were positively identified by the victims.
“At the moment it is still muddy to pre-empt the motive. The suspects were charged and appeared at the Verulam Magistrate's Court. We warn motorists to be vigilant.”
