THE Tongaat Tamil Academy excelled at the recent Tamil Children’s Eisteddfod which was held in Greenbury, Phoenix on April 8.

The academy was placed second in the Lower North Coast region. The children participated in various items such as singing,
Kollattam, classical, modern and village dances. They now advance to the next segment of the competition, the KZN Provincial eisteddfod.The adults segment of the regional (Lower North Coast) Eisteddfod will take place at the Stonebridge Community Hall, Phoenix on May 19 and 20.

The Tamil Eisteddfod is jointly hosted by the KZN Tamil Vedic Society and the Tamil Federation of KZN.
