THE TPAC Thinny's League Challenge had 25 participants at the weekend for the second leg of the league.

With the 2016 road fixtures kicking off, runners got into some serious running in preparation for the Comrades Marathon qualifying races.

Devan Reddy, Anesh Rampurtab, Paul Moopanar, Strini Moodley, Krish Naidu and Johnny did some endurance work as they negotiated the 20km event.

Loga Naidoo and Rahul led the 12km and 15km teams respectively.

The third leg of the league takes place on 7 February at 5.30am

The Thinny’s 19 km Camaraderie Challenge continues every Wednesday at 3pm.

The weekends results were:

In the 20km run: Devan Reddy 1.50, Paul, Moopanar 1.52, Johnny 2.00, Anesh Rampurtab 2.02, Strini Moodley 2.03 and Krish Naidu 2.14.

In the 15km run: Rahul 1.35, Sunil Parekh 1.50, Pushpa Pillay 1.50, Chris Naidoo 2.05, Bugwan Lekha 2.05, Rajen Naidoo 2.05, Viresh Rampurtab 2.12, Keshini Maharaj 2.12, Babes Sithaldeen 2.16, Angie Baijnath, 2.16, Joy Rajkumar 2.25 and Kem Maharaj 2.40.

In the 12km run: Loga Naidoo 1.30, Lajeeth Maharaj­ 1.40, Gonum Moodley 1.50, Avikaar Ghunsham 1.52, Kogie Naidoo 2.06 and Selvie Naidoo 2.06.

The club reminds members to renew their club licences for 2016 season.
