Tongaat and Verulam teams aim for inter-district glory

SCORES of people gathered at different sport grounds across Tongaat to attend the eThekwini Games, held on July 14.

Various sporting codes from seven wards from Tongaat and Verulam participated in the games.

In the soccer, ward 102 emerged victorious. Other victorious teams included the ward 106 netball team, the ward 62 volleyball team , the ward 106 basketball team and the cricket team from ward 102.

The teams will be representing the district at the inter-district games, being held in Durban this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Other sporting codes that will be participating this week include karate, swimming games, golf, chess, athletics and rugby.
