Tongaat beat Rocky Park FC

THE Tongaat Calypso Sporting Soccer team defeated their rival, Rocky Park FC at the Safa Tongaat Indoor Football league on 27 August.

The team locked horns with Rocky Park FC in the Tongaat Indoor Sports Centre.

Tongaat took the lead in the first half, scoring four goals, beating its opponent.

The second half saw Tongaat in the attack­, scoring two more goals.

However, Rocky managed to score one goal making the final score 6-1.

Once again, in defence of the Tongaat team, Victor Mngomezulu and Captain Chappa Maphumalo kept the opposition at bay.

Veshay Naidoo, Keshev Naidoo, Yasheen Hilton, Renolan Govender and Kyle Pillay continued attacking the Rocky Park FC defence.

Head coach Pravinesh Naido said that both goal keepers, Venay Sookdhoo and Lushail Govender, once again did a sterling job in making some crucial and important saves that saw the team only conceding a single goal.

He added the Tongaat team will, once again, focus on training and work on key areas in the weeks ahead.
