THE Tongaat karate superstars Terisha and Yasmika Seetharam, aim to attain gold medals at the forthcoming Commonwealth karate championships 2018.

The North Coast siblings who are currently in top form are aiming high for the forthcoming Commonwealth Karate Championships scheduled for the end of November in Durban.

Protea seasoned coach Brando Pillay Shihan said: “Both karate champions are fighting fit and hugely talented.”

Terisha a KZN multiple title holder is currently a pupil of the Seatides combined and younger sister a pupil at Maidstone Primary.

Yashmika and Terisha attend regular karate classes at the Tongaat Sports centre under grandmaster Sonny Pillay. Pillay said: “These karate stars are role models for other youth given their outstanding discipline and mannerisms acquired through the medium of karate practice moreover their parents (both teachers) need to be complimented for their unreserved support for the girls’ karate career.”

KSA expects the Tongaat karate superstars viz Terisha and Yashmika to win gold despite the tough competition they will face against fighters from India,Botswana, Namibia, Malaysia, Pakistan, England, Bangladesh and other countries at the championships.
