A SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD pupil from Seatides Combined, Ashleen Naidoo made history when she snatched the title of Miss Teen Durban last week.

The Seatides resident said the win came as a surprise to her.

“Two years ago I entered [another] competition and became a finalist. I lost in that competition, but that did not discourage me. It gave me motivation to try again. This year I entered the beauty pageant competition for the first time. I believe that there is nothing that can stop you from getting what you want. The sky is the limit.”
