SAPS Tongaat visited farm workers in Tongaat to educate them about issues pertaining to women abuse.

Corporate communication spokesperson, Captain Patrick Ngwane, sector commander Sergeant Zanele Mkhwanazi, Victim Friendly Centre assistant Noxolo Mcanyana­ and Child Line social worker Mbali Sithole attended a Women’s Month awareness campaign at Simamisa Farm.

Sergeant Mkhwanazi told the gathering that SAPS has made domestic violence a priority crime.
She said victims of domestic violence are treated with care and dignity they deserve in the established Victims Friendly Centre at SAPS Tongaat.

Captain Ngwane asked the people attending the function to report domestic violence cases and criminal activities to the police­ anonymously on the crime stop number 0800 10111 immediately.
