Tonver Games resume in Tongaat

2018-05-17 06:01

THE Tonver Schools Sports Council, code conveners, officials and school managers and coaches have their work cut out for them on May 11.

The selection and finalisation of their teams for the Department of Education, Sports and Recreation and Friendship Games to be confirmed tomorrow as the Winter Games, are set for May 16 at the Sirpat Road grounds.

This is the first time that so many codes across all divisions will take place simultaneously so as to avoid disruption in schools where the preliminary games are also taking place on Wednesdays.

Glenhaven Secondary School will represent the district in the U18 division in the kho kho games.

THE U17 boys and girls Premier League Volleyball’s outstanding fixtures will be completed tomorrow, in conjunction with the various selection processes.

Matric pupils are not allowed to participate as the winning school will proceed to the 2019 championships, where this year’s teams’ list will be used.
