BELVEDERE Football club held their awards presentation ceremony for 2015 at the Belvedere community hall recently.

Players were awarded for their achievements on the field and special awards were given to players who excelled through the season.

The special awards included Outstanding Player of the year, Most Improved Player, Most Dedicated Player and Player of the Season.

Club manager, Sago Dora congratulated all the players for their achievements and hard work over the season.

“The awards were a fitting end to the season,” said Dora. “This was the second year the club has been operating and the players managed to develop and improve from last season. It was a good season where players learnt how to compete better in the league.”

Dora said the club hopes to grow from the season’s performances and to attract more youth to the sport in the coming year.

“Next season we are hoping our players, especially the youth, take what they have learnt into the next season to bring home some silverware and also to increase youth development in the club,” said Dora.

Dora thanked everyone who has contributed towards the growth of the club and Swissport for their sponsorship to Belvedere Football Club.

“With the help of Swissport and community members who have assisted us, we hope to make a difference in the lives of our youth and inevitably the community through sport,” said Dora.
