THE first cup tournament of the year is nearing its conclusion, with familiar adversaries Classic Football Club and Verulam United booking their places in this year’s final. Classic F.C. easily brushed aside a young Parkgate Swallows outfit 2-0 while Verulam United took the long way around seeing of a determined challenge by league newcomers Full Moon F.C. to win 5-4 on penalties after a tense 0-0 stalemate.

The final is sure to be an entertaining match up and the community is encouraged to come out and show their support for these two great teams. In league news, Bhakabhaka held on for a 2 – 1 win over the always energetic Two For Joy side. The side from Parkgate was unable to cope with Bhakabhaka’s attacking intent and succumbed to defeat.
