Victoria primary gets new furniture

PUPILS and teachers from Victoria Primary School were overjoyed after a furniture store donated 160 school desks and chairs to the school last Friday.

School principal Mr LB Maharaj said the shortage of desks and chairs is due to the high number of pupils enrolled at the school.

“In the past we used to have a total number of 800 pupils in our school. This year we saw the number increasing by 200 pupils enrolling in our school. The sponsorship will improve the quality of the delivery of our lessons.”
