Welfare society sharpens women’s business skills

THE Verulam Child and Family Welfare Society undertook a monthly skills training programme for impoverished women recently.

The main objective of the programme is to empower women with business skills that will enable them to generate income for themselves and their families.

Co-ordinator Maggie Govender said the programme includes sewing, beadwork and computer skills.
