TONGAAT Child and Family Welfare Society representatives recently visited Trubel Primary School to thank the principal, teachers and pupils who raised funds for the society’s “Children’s Fund” programme.

Addressing the assembly, social worker Kulsoom Adam thanked pupils, teachers and the principal for their hard work and dedication to the initiative.

She highlighted that the Children’s Fund involves “children helping children” and that the monies received will help to sustain the school’s breakfast programme where 2 424 children currently receive breakfast every day.

She said the children’s fund is not only about breakfast as other underprivileged pupils have also been assisted with the school uniforms.

Mariam Mkhize praised the staff and pupils of the school for their enviable sense of charity. - Supplied.
