>> The Shri Emperumal Temple (SET) in Oaklands, Verulam invites you to take part in their ground-breaking ceremony of their new proposed Temple Hall. In the interests of community participation, members have decided to extend the ceremony over two days to allow everyone the once-off opportunity to be an integral part of this historic event.

The first ceremony will take place on Friday, 20 May from 7-10pm with a cultural show given by Sarawathie Nagara and a dance troop. The second will be held on Saturday, 21 May from 3-6pm, when a prayer will take place followed by a cultural show by Samalan Sarugaser and group. All are invited to attend, with your presence highly appreciated by SET. Entrance is free and meals will be provided by the Temple on Saturday, 21 May. Be part of this project, which is organised by the community for the community.

>> All matriculants who wrote supplementary exams in February/March this year are informed that the results for the supplementary exams are now available at all high schools in Tongaat and Verulam. Call your respective secondary school to obtain your results. Pupils who did not pass have an opportunity to fill in an application to re-write at the end of this year, however the closing date for applications is 27 May.

>> The Tongaat South Women’s Forum is looking for women to join their group. They are also urging people to donate spare fabric, cotton and zips.
