THE National Teachers’ Union (Natu) hosted a social event at Spur last Friday.

Natu chairman in the Kokstad branch, Luthando Fikeni, said the outing was held for members to get to know each other.

“We wanted to talk to each other in a different environment other than our place of work - school.”

The events was also an opportunity for members to share information to assist in terms of teaching and learning.

“We wear our uniforms from Monday to Friday and we come from schools with different resources, so its important to have these outings because we are able to talk and support each other as members of Natu,” Fikeni­ said
