THE South African Under-20 team are in danger of falling out of the World Cup in Korea at the group stage after they lost 2-0 to Italy in Suwon yesterday.

It was the second loss for coach Thabo Senong’s youngsters, the first having been against Japan last weekend. Senong’s side were dominated by the Italians for most of yesterday’s proceedings.

Their final group match will be against Uruguay on Saturday, with a slim chance of progressing to the next stage. The game will kick off at 1 pm (SA time).
