ANCYL members in Bhongweni vowed to take action when things go wrong in schools instead of folding their arms.

The league donated school shoes to eight Kokstad Public Primary pupils on Wednesday and helped the school move books from one class to another.

Chairperson of the youth league, Jabulani Potwana said league members asked business people for donations and they responded positively.

He said the league will focus on Carl Malcomess High by engaging with stakeholders to solve problems the school is facing.

“In November last year, we heard that the bullying of male pupils is high and we want that to end.

“Male pupils that never went to initiation school are denied peeing in the toilets by other male pupils, this is wrong,” said Potwana.

He said 2018 is the year of action as they will now act and stop talking about school problems.

All schools in Bhongweni will be monitored by the league as the misbehaviour of pupils is getting worse.
