KOKSTAD police are investigating two similar cases of burglary that were reported last weekend in farm areas, where several items were stolen.

A 47-year-old farm owner, who also owns a shop in Fernhill Farm outside Kokstad, opened a case of business burglary after thieves stole tyres, batteries and other items valued at R73 000.

SAPS spokesperson Captain Dumisani Ncongo said thieves stole machinery costing R57 000 at Slippery Drift Farm.

“Thieves gained entry after breaking the door of a storeroom. Police are working hard to arrest the suspects in both cases,” said Ncongo.

No arrests have been made. - Supplied.
