THE family of Neto Nqhome (25), a father of two, whose burnt body was found next to the Matatiele bus rank in Matatiele last Friday, are asking police to thoroughly investigate and arrest those responsible.

Nqhome from Diphini village outside Matatiele was temporarily employed at Matatiele Local Municipality as a cleaner.

He was last seen on Thursday when he went to work, but never returned.

“On Friday morning I was called by SAPS to identify him and got the shock of my life when I saw his burnt lower body. I identified him by his unburnt head,” said his father, Dickson Nqhome.

SAPS spokesperson Raphael Motloung confirmed the incident and asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact police on 039 737 9900.

“The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage and investigation is under way,” he said.

He will be buried on November 18.
