2018-10-26 06:01

A CASE of culpable homicide is being investigated by Harding SAPS after two passengers died at the scene when a bus hit a cow and overturned on October 16. The bus was travelling on the N2 freeway near Harding, towards Port Shepstone.

KwaZulu-Natal SAPS spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said the accident occurred at 11.30 pm and the injured passengers were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

“The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated,” said Gwala.

When the medical teams arrived at the scene, some of the passengers were still trapped in the bus. The names of the deceased have not yet been released, as the bodies have yet to be officially identified.
