IT was a remarkable day for the Sakhubuntu Project Co-operative members as they received a temporary structure, a brick-making machine and tools from Umuziwabantu Municipality officials and Mbokoto Mining on November 1.

The mining company invested R300 000 in the co-op in order to help it produce additional bricks to boost local economy.

“The municipality is pleased to partner with private sectors for the development of local projects,” said Umuziwabantu Mayor, Dixie Nciki.

In Ward 2, an irrigation system and a fence was given to Esethembiso Agricultural Co-operative members, that had the support of the Ugu District Municipality. - Supplied
