THE community of Masakala village outside Matatiele were chased away from the Maluti Magistrate’s Court by police when three suspects appeared for bail in the murder case of a 30-year-old man on Monday.

The suspects, aged between 22 and 30, are linked to the man’s murder who was found dead in the village on August 19. The suspects were arrested on August 24.

When the suspects appeared before the magistrate on Monday, community members wanted the court to release suspects on bail saying they are not linked to the case.
SAPS spokesperson Captain Raphael Motloung said bail was denied for the suspects. The case was postponed to next Monday.
