AS part of celebrating Mandela Day on Wednesday, children from Siyakhula Day Care in Bhongweni Township, Woolworths store employees treated parents and teachers from Kokstad.

The children were given lunch and toys, and were taught about reading.

Charl Bell from Woolworths said a partnership with the day care has been formed and the store will give extra support to the school.

“We treated children because Mandela loved children.”

Siyakhula principal Nomonde Moya thanked the store for spending the day with them.

She said the school cares for children five years old and younger, teaching them educational skills such as drawing, reading, writing, and singing.
