YOUNG Kokstad woman, Lulama Ncenjana (24) is one of the 48 contestants who have entered the second Annual Face of Port Shepstone Beauty and Lifestyle Competition which takes place in Port Shepstone on May 19 where many talented youth will be identified.

The event organiser and creative director of Phumlani M Foundation, Phumlani Mzobe, said that the competition will attract many young contestants who will show off their beauty at the event.

Mzobe said that the competition aims to keep youngsters away from crime and substance abuse.

“We will be advising youth to focus on their studies and future and to not get involved in crime. “The competition also aims to encourage the youth to love their bodies and to raise awareness about good health and fitness,” said Mzobe.

Mzobe said that 19 male contestants who have entered the competition have showed strength and eagerness.
Ncenjana, who is studying business management at Esayidi Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Gamalakhe campus, said that it was her first time entering the competition and she aims to succeed.

Ncenjana entered the competition after she saw an advert on social media.
“I attended auditions and rehearsals and I was selected to go to the finals. “I started modeling when I was in Grade 5,” said Ncenjana.

Ncenjana said that at the event she will be wearing her designed garment.
