CONGREGANTS from Fullness of Christ International Ministries prayed in the streets of Kokstad as part of celebrating Women’s Day on Wednesday, escorted by traffic police.

They called for men to protect women, for the end of prostitution, crime, drugs and the abuse of women and children.

Nolitha Sapho, one of the church leaders, said women chose to celebrate the day by praying for peace instead of attending activities planned for Women’s Day.

“We want God to take over Kokstad by changing people’s attitudes and lives. Everybody must be saved to have a free Kokstad,” she said.

After the prayer they returned to the church and continued praying.

Monica Mbewana from the church said it is upsetting to see young girls, who have become prostitutes in Kokstad. “I want young girls to believe in God and stop depending on men,” said Mbewana.
