Excitement at matric farewell

2018-05-25 06:00

ON April 25, St. Monica’s Diocesan School celebrated their matric class of 2018 by hosting the annual matric farewell at the school.

The event was a social highlight for many residents, parents and learners within the community and was very exciting. The theme saw attendants going bold and daring under the title “Graffiti”. The school hall was creatively decorated in bright vibrant colours, showcasing the popular street culture, artworks and a modern jazz lounge atmosphere which was created by music from local DJ Damian Biggar.

Guests enjoyed a fabulous dinner while head prefects shared special memories about challenging times and how they have grown and enjoyed their time at St. Monica’s.

The school thanked parents and the community for the support and also neighbouring schools for attending the event.

The school also thanked companies for their support and assistance in planning and hosting the event.

“St. Monica’s wishes to pass a message of gratitude to organising committee Bella Liphaphang from Bellz Décor, James Nairn from MDE, Mrs Freys and her team for catering, photographers, Stephanie Myburg and Mrs Watkinson for capturing the special moments and Prestige Security.”
