Expiry date looms for old Sassa cards

2018-07-27 06:01

THE old South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) cards will expire at the end of September and beneficiaries who currently receive grants are encouraged to get their new gold cards at Post Offices or Sassa offices across KwaZulu-Natal.

Beneficiaries looking to get their new cards should bring their ID and old white Sassa cards.

“The new gold Sassa card offers three free cash withdrawals per month from supermarkets and it can also be used to withdraw cash from all ATMs in South Africa.

“The new gold Sassa card also blocks deductions and does not allow them to go through,” said South African Post Office KZN Communication Officer Nobuhle Njapha.
