On December 16, Fam Fest Entertainment invites the community, especially the youth, to its “homecoming picnic” at St Michaels Beach.

Fam Fest founder Thabani Mzindle said the picnic gives artists a platform to showcase their talent.

“We want to introduce a culture of supporting our local artists. Before filling up the Dome, we should start filling our own home ground.”

The programme line-up features artists from around the district, including Afrika Cele, White Bread, #MtnMegastar finalist Khokho Madlala, Voice SA’s Tender Mavundla, Sbahle, Thandi Draai and more.

“On the one’s and two’s we have DJ 101, ZeeTee, Mshediz, DJ Quonic and DJ Cyril. Our emcees are Jojo of Uzalo and Pretty Ncayiyana from Scandal.

“We have arranged food and clothing stalls and those who wish to sell or exhibit merchandise are welcome to come, but booking is essential.

“We will also have GlenAmy models on the runway, showing their new ladies swimsuits,” said Mzindle

Entry is R50 and VIP is R200.
