ON Monday, happy fishermen walked away with prizes at a fishing competition that was held in aid of the Neville Underwood and Ken Gobey charity foundation.

The first prize winner for seniors was Keenan Dawson, who caught a 1.82kg fish, while Roderick Simons and Selwyn Vesazie secured second prize after catching a 1.80kg fish.

Jaycee Pyoos, who caught a 1.12kg fish, won the prize for juniors.

The competition was hosted at Stoneybook outside Kokstad. Event organiser Vallin Underwood thanked competitors and sponsors for supporting the event.

“The event went well with the assistance of communities and we thank dam owners who gave us the space to host the event,” he said.
