COMMUNITY members from Kokstad and surrounding areas participated in the 15 km walk for charity held in Kokstad on Saturday.

The walk started at 6 am at the EG and Usher Memorial Hospital and was completed at the Rustfontein Farm.

Along the way, motorists waved their hands in support of the walk. Participants were given braai packs and drinks when they finished and ‘old skool’ music was played for entertainment. Children played on the jumping castles as patrons enjoyed the refreshments provided.

Organiser, Dimiprius Pienaar thanked people who supported the event and said that the next breakfast walk would be held on November 3.

“We had 30 people participating in the walk and in the next walk we are anticipating more people,” said Pienaar.
