The Greater Kokstad teams from different sports codes participated in the Harry Gwala Mayoral cup where all districts competed with each other. Greater Kokstad teams were in the first place in an overall assessment. Nine federations participated in dance, swimming, cricket football (male and female), chess, athletics, rugby, netball and Indigenous Games (Khokho, inqathu and Mlabalaba). Kokstad Dance, rugby and netball took number one, while under Indigenous Games, Khokho and Mlabalaba were also at number one.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all teams for their high performance shown in this year’s games and we have confidence that come the SALGA games, from December 6 — December 10, we will all be ready.
