NQOBILE Mbandlwa is slowly making a name for himself in the music industry.

The 25-year-old recently displayed his talent on SABC 2’s Gospel Times and Sunrise on e.tv.

Mbandlwa from Mthwalume, said music has always played a major role in his life - from singing in the church choir to performing for his community.

“I knew I wanted to pursue music as a career one day, so I made it my life’s mission to make this happen.”

Mbandlwa has released his second album after his first one - Masingakhuleka (If we can pray) - failed to make a mark on the music scene.

His new album Ezandleni Zakho Nkosi is causing a wave in the market as it now receives regular airplay on local radio stations.

His hard work had finally paid off. This album was completed with the help of SA Gospel Crown award winners Dumi Mkokstad, Nkosi Nhlumayo and Thina Zungu.

Mbandlwa was recently the lead vocalist at the late Sifiso Ncwane’s tribute in Johannesburg, which ultimately changed his life as a struggling musician.
